12 Members Named to Governor's Health Commission

The Indiana Department of Health today announced the appointment of 12 new members to the Governor’s Public Health Commission, which was established last month by Governor Eric J. Holcomb to study Indiana’s public health system and make recommendations for improvement. The appointees include elected officials, public health professionals and other key health stakeholders from across the state.

Senator Messmer on Hoosier Schools Awarded Safety Grant Funding

During the 2017-18 school year, 80% of the public schools in the United States recorded one or more events of violence, theft or other crime. This amounted to a total of 1.4 million incidents. These circumstances have caused many local leaders in education to research and implement additional safety precautions within our schools.
