Chloe has previously worked for two years at G101.3 in Richmond Indiana. She graduated in May 2020 from the University of Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications with an emphasis on radio broadcasting. During her time at UIndy she worked on the air for the on-campus radio station WICR. She was Assistant Program Director and Music Director her sophomore year and Operations manager her Junior and Senior year. In her six years in the radio industry Chloe has worked part time at several Indianapolis radio companies including Entercom, Cumulus, and Urban One. She also interned for the Joe and McKinzie Morning Show on Radio NOW 100.9 for a year. When she isn't in a studio Chloe is usually binge-watching Netflix shows, spending time with my cats, reading, playing videogames, or playing unique board games.
Deanna Baur is a new account executive for WITZ. She received a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Indiana University. Deanna has been with WITZ for the past 20 years as a part time broadcast engineer for WQKZ sports and has previous broadcasting experience as an on-air personality.
Deanna is a native of Southern Indiana and currently resides in Holland with her husband, WITZ Morning personality Charlie Wayne. They will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary later this year. She loves spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys being outdoors, gardening, cooking and is an avid IU basketball and Pittsburgh Steeler fan.
Irma Alanis joined the WITZ/WQKZ team in November, 2021 as an Account Executive. Irma grew up in Dale, but is originally from Mexico. She is an Oakland city University graduate with associates’ degree in early childhood education. She has worked in sales for over 6 years. Irma enjoys spending time with her son and family.
I started working at WITZ on January 3, 1977 as a night time announcer. I eventually became Program Director then Sales and Operations Manager. In September of 2011 I became General Manager, retiring from full-time duties at the end of 2022 and becoming a part time account executive in 2023.
I am a Certified Radio Marketing Consultant with (RAB) the Radio Advertising Bureau since 1983. I earned my Radio marketing Master certification from (RAB) the Radio Advertising Bureau in 1995. I became a Certified Digital marketing consultant with (RAB) the Radio Advertising Bureau in February 2008.
I was a member of the Country Radio Broadcaster’s Agenda Committee for the Country Radio Seminar from 2009-2011.
In 1997 I received recognition from the Radio Advertising Bureau for a Radio Gets Results campaign for Grandy’s Restaurants.
In 1993, 1995 and 2012 I received an (IBA) Indiana Broadcasters Association Spectrum Award for Small Market Radio for Best Radio Commercial or Series of Commercials. In 2016 WITZ FM received an (IBA) Spectrum Award for Small Market Station of the Year.
Since 2005 I have been a Board Member of the Dubois County Sportsmen’s Club.
In 1987 and 1988 I was a member of the Board of Directors of the Jasper Chamber of Commerce. In 1989 I was elected President of the Board of Directors of the Jasper Chamber of Commerce for 1990.
I was a member of the Jasper Strassenfest Committee and Advertising Chairman from 1990-2006 and served as Chairman of the Jasper Strassenfest from 2002-2003. I now serve on their Board of Directors.
I have been a member of the Lincoln Heritage District of Boy Scouts of America “Distinguished Citizen’s Awards Banquet Committee” since 1992 and served as Chairman of the event from 2000-2002.
Since 1984 I have been a life member of Optimist International and have served as a member of the Board of Directors and Vice President of the Jasper Optimist club. I was also selected as Optimist of the Month three times.
In 1983 I was named Billboard Magazine’s “Program Director of the Year” for radio markets under 100,000 population.
In 1984 I was chosen one of the “Best Ears in the Business” in the Active Industry Research Contest sponsored by Radio & Records Magazine. 250 of the nation’s top contemporary radio Program Directors and Music Directors competed.
Also in 1984 I was awarded the Distinguished Service Award from the Jasper Jay Cee’s for outstanding community service.
In 1985 I was selected as an outstanding young man of America in recognition of outstanding professional achievement, superior leadership ability and exceptional service to the community.
I am an avid hunter and outdoorsman. I enjoy racketball, pickle ball, softball and bicycle riding.
I have been married to my wife Phyllis since 1978 and we love spending time with our two grandsons and traveling.
Roger is a graduate of Vincennes University with a degree in broadcasting and a degree from Oakland City College (University) in Secondary Education-English. He was in education for 34 years after spending 13 years in broadcasting at WRAY in Princeton. Roger got back in broadcasting in March, 2014 at WITZ/WQKZ and was the “Voice of the Forest Park Rangers” doing boys/girls basketball, football, and baseball until his retirement in 2022. You can now hear Roger every summer doing what he loves - broadcasting Dubois County Bombers Baseball on 104.7FM WITZ.

Kris joined WITZ/WQKZ/Radio Juan in April 2021. After a year and a half working in International Falls, Minnesota, Kris is back in his home state, originally from Carmel. Prior to living in the “Icebox of the Nation”, Kris produced The Jeff and Big Joe Morning Show on 1070 The Fan in Indianapolis.
An avid sports fan and broadcaster, Kris has called everything from State Title games at Lucas Oil Field to Semi-Pro Hockey in Ontario, Canada - including the Forest Park Girls Basketball state championship in 2021.
On WITZ, Kris will be the new voice of Jasper High School Athletics, covering football, boys and girls basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, and boys and girls soccer.

Corbin comes to WITZ after graduating in May 2022 from the University of Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications with an emphasis on radio broadcasting. During his time at UIndy, he worked for the on- campus radio station, WICR, as an on-air talent, sportscaster and was the stations promotions director.
He has called high school football, state championship games, and collegiate football and basketball over his four years with UIndy. He also worked for Emmis Communications in Indianapolis for The Fan, WIBC, and Network Indiana as a producer and sports anchor. He won or placed in multiple competitions for his play by play and interviews.

Charlie Wayne likes “to bring a little humor to your mornings”. He is a Tell City High School Graduate, and is now living in Holland. He holds an Associates Degree in Broadcast Communications.
Charlie began his radio career at KCUB/KIIM in Tucson, AZ in 1986. His favorite hobbies include playing the drums, guitar and singing.

I started at WITZ in 1965 hosting the Coke Caravan Show. My current Sunday show is one of the longest continuing programs in Indiana radio today. I attended Indiana State Univ. where I majored in English, with a minor in Journalism and obtained my Bachelor’s Degree. I received my Master’s Degree from Indiana University. In 2008, I retired after serving 40 years as an English teacher at Southridge. Along with my teacher duties, I am the Boys and Girls tennis coach at Southridge. I am married to the former Carol Songer. We have two sons: Kelly and John, and two grandchildren: Emily and Paul.
Melanie has been a familiar face of WITZ since 2009. Melanie started as an Account Executive, eventually working her way into Program Director, Business Manager, and in January of 2023 she was named General Manager of Jasper on the Air.
Melanie graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a Degree in Broadcast Journalism and Marketing.
Melanie is married to Andrew (Andy) Arehart. They have two children, Jackson & Ella. In her spare time you will most-likely find her at a soccer field or chauffeuring her kids to their many after school activities. Melanie’s favorite things are the St. Louis Cardinals, the “Mouse” in Florida, useless trivia only she finds interesting, and Moira Rose.
