Police Identify Hit-and-Run Suspect Responsible For Last Month's Power Outage in Dubois County

DUBOIS COUNTY -- The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office has identified the driver they say hit a power pole back in December, knocking out power to hundreds of Dubois REC customers for several hours.
It happened December 18th at the intersection of Jasper Dubois Road and State Road 164, east of Jasper.
Investigators say a tip from the public led them to 29-year-old Derek Breitweiser of French Lick.
Breitweiser has been summoned to appear in court on a misdemeanor count of Leaving the Scene of an Accident.
