Shirley Bryant, 84, of St. Meinrad

Shirley Bryant, 84, of St. Meinrad, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2026 at Willowdale Village in Dale.

Shirley was born, September 15, 1942 in Ferdinand to Edwin and Caroline (Miller) Reckelhoff.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Michael (Mickey) Bryant Sr. of St. Meinrad; her children, Judi (Michael) Brosseau of Huntingburg, Brenda Oeding of Stendal, Don (Barbara) Messmer of St. Anthony, Jackie (Steve) McPherron of Huntingburg, Roger (Tracey) Messmer of Dale, Michael (Samantha) Bryant Jr. of St. Meinrad and Jeff (Melissa) Bryant of Santa Claus; Eighteen grandchildren and Eight Great- grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Caroline Reckelhoff; sister, Gladys Balbach, her brother, Edward Rickelhoff and a daughter, Angela Gesualdo. Shirley loved to read, play cards and crochet. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 5 th at 10:00 AM ET at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Gentryville. Friends may call on Wednesday, November 4 th at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand from 4-7:00 PM ET and also on Thursday morning from 7-9:30 AM ET at the funeral home.
