Sharon Kay (Tharp) Blake, 85, of Shoals, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the Timbers in
Jasper.
Born August 29, 1940, in Shoals, she was the daughter of Orville Wayne and Ilean (Potts) Tharp.
Sharon graduated from Shoals High School.
She married John Blake on June 11, 1977; and he preceded her in death on April 10, 2013.
Sharon retired from RCA in Bloomington after many years.
She was active in the Shoals Nazarene Church.
Sharon enjoyed singing and spending time with her family.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her nephew and niece, Jeffrey Roberts, of Bloomington, and Stacey
Crowder, of Jasper; great-nephew, Jeffrey Crowder, of Jasper; great-niece, Annie (Joe) Blunk, of Jasper;
great-great-nieces, Hailee and Gracie Blunk, of Jasper; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John; sisters, Shirley Todd and Juanita Tharp; and
brothers, Gary and Marvin Tharp.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 17, 2026 at the Queen-Lee Chapel of George
Funeral Care with Pastor Kevin Quinn officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 A.M. until the hour of service on Friday at the Queen-Lee Chapel.
