Ronnie G. Bailey, age 71, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away surrounded by family on July 10, 2026 at 8:41 pm at Deaconess Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Huntingburg, Indiana, on June 24, 1955, to Paul and Ruth (Roettger) Bailey of Stendal, IN. He married Patty Hurm on Nov. 25, 1978 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Jasper.
He was a 1973 graduate of Winslow High School.
He retired from Indianapolis Power and Light, Petersburg Plant.
Ronnie was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper and the Jasper Outdoor Recreation.
He enjoyed woodworking and also camping with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Patty, three children, Tonya (Brady) Walton, Tracy Bailey (William Spurr) and Eric (Kela) Bailey, four grandchildren, Trent and Madison Walton, Conner Bailey and Hurley Luker, all of Jasper, a twin brother, Randy (Sandy) Bailey of Petersburg, in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life Visitation for Ronnie G. Bailey will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the Jasper Outdoor Recreation in Jasper, Indiana. Please come and share your stories of Ronnie with family and friends. Memorial contributions can be made to the Dubois County Community Foundation, Matthew D. Marks Fund or the Dubois County Humane Society.
