Robert C. “Bob” Goodman, age 74, of Huntingburg

Robert C. “Bob” Goodman, age 74, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 8:17 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at home surrounded by family.

Bob was born in Evansville, Indiana, on April 19, 1952, to Donald and Daisy (James) Goodman.  He married Debbie Harold on November 19, 1972, at Wickliffe United Methodist Church in Wickliffe, Indiana.

He was a 1970 graduate of English Sterling High School. He then earned a degree from Lincoln Tech in Auto Mechanics and Business Management.

He retired from Jasper Engines and Transmissions where he had worked for 26 years.  After retirement he spent a lot of time tearing down and rebuilding tractors, and rebuilt at least 30 tractors into showroom quality.

Bob was a member of Patoka Lake Bow Hunters Club, Wild Turkey Federation and the NRA. In addition, he helped with Hunter Education Classes.He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time outdoors, working in the shop and on tractors, and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Debbie Goodman, Huntingburg, IN, two children, Kristina Betz, Ferdinand, IN and Russell (Tiffany) Goodman, Palmyra, IN, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters, Shirley Segert, Petersburg, IN, and Eva (Victor) McCune, Jasper, IN, one brother, John Goodman, Jasper, IN, and one sister-in-law, Rita Goodman, Birdseye, IN.

Preceding him in death are his parents, one son-in-law, Jeremy Betz, two sisters, Rosemary Montgomery and Georgia Goodman, and one brother, Donald Goodman.

A funeral service for Robert C. “Bob” Goodman will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in Wickliffe Cemetery in Wickliffe, Indiana.A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service time at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel on Saturday.
