Robert “Bob” Dale Riesenbeck, age 73, of Pikeville

Robert “Bob” Dale Riesenbeck, age 73, of Pikeville, passed away Saturday, August 1 st , 2026 surrounded by his family in the comfort of his home. 

He was born on March 30, 1953 to Alton and Ellen (Eads) Riesenbeck. Bob attended school in Stendal in his early years and was a 1971 graduate of Winslow High School. Bob married his sweetheart, Donna Kiegel on July 6, 1973. 

He was a hardworking man who worked with his hands as a carpenter by trade and as a farmer by heart building a life rooted in dedication, perseverance and service. He was the father of three daughters whom he treasured; He was a grandfather to two grandsons and two granddaughters, being a papaw was one of his greatest joys in life teaching them values and to love the Lord. 

His devotion to his family and God was evident in the way he lived day to day; was a life-long member of Cup Creek General Baptist Church and faithfully served God as a deacon for nearly 40 years, encouraging others to trust the Lord. Bob was known for his warm smile, quick wit and friendly spirit striking up a conversation with everyone he met, he never met a stranger. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Nora Mae Stieneker, Dorothy Baker, Bill, Steve and Moritz Riesenbeck. 

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Donna Riesenbeck; three daughters, Kimberly (Richard) Russell of Pikeville, Stephanie (Nathan) Geesaman of Huntingburg, Julie Riesenbeck of Pikeville; two brothers, Stan (Lorendia) Riesenbeck, Larry Riesenbeck both of Pikeville; four grandchildren, Noah (fiancé, Leslie Jochem) Russell, Riley Russell, Christian (fiancé, Taylor Denning) Geesaman and Avery Geesaman. 

Visitation for Bob Riesenbeck will be held at Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg on Friday, August 7th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. EDT and also one hour prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with burial to follow in Stilwell Cemetery in Pikeville. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Research Association or Cup Creek Church.
