Robert “Bob” Dale Carrico, 56, of Loogootee

Robert “Bob” Dale Carrico, 56, of Loogootee, Indiana, passed away in Loogootee on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

Born on June 25, 1969, in Tucson, Arizona, he was the beloved son of the late Robert “Bob” and Helen “Elaine” Carrico.

He married Cheryl Kelley on August 2, 1996, and she preceded him in death in 2024.

Bob was a 1987 graduate of Loogootee High School. He then attended Vincennes University and, after graduation, continued his education in aviation mechanics in Somerset, Kentucky. He was employed at NSWC Crane for 21 years as an electronic technician. He was of Catholic faith.

Bob lived a simple, quiet life and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and spending time with friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Cheryl. He is lovingly remembered by his brother, Tom (Trish) Carrico; his nephews; and his cousins.

Cremation was chosen in accordance with his wishes. A memorial service and graveside service are being planned to celebrate the lives of both Bob and his wife, Cheryl.
