Rex A. Marshall, 74, of French Lick, Indiana entered into eternal rest on May 16 th , 2026 at IU Bloomington Hospital.
He was born in Bedford, Indiana on October 21 st , 1951 to Grant E. Marshall, Sr. and Martha Lorraine (Lynch)
Marshall.
Rex married Lynne Self on May 5 th , 1984 and she survives.
He was preceded in death by his Parents; Son – Logan Rex Marshall; Brothers – Grant E. Marshall, Jr. and Barry
Marshall; Sister in infancy – Martha Ann Marshall; and Brother-in-law – John Duncan.
Rex was a 1969 graduate of Springs Valley High School and a former member of the United Methodist Episcopalians
Church in French Lick. He was also a member of the French Lick American Legion Post 76 and served his country
proudly in the United States Army.
Rex was a proud Republican and the owner/operator of a trucking company that delivered newspapers for the
Indianapolis Star and several others throughout southern Indiana. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was an avid
collector of many things; especially hats and walking sticks. Rex loved golfing, buying a round of drinks for his friends,
and trying his luck with pull tabs at the Legion. Also, anytime he went into a medical facility, he made sure they knew he
had three registered nurses taking care of him. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family and friends,
especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Wife – Lynne Marshall of French Lick, Indiana
Daughters - Jenni Renner (Brad) of Bloomington, Indiana
Amber Campbell (Kenny) of Paoli, Indiana
Son – Matt Marshall of Kansas
Sisters – Terry Duncan of Columbus, Ohio
Michelle Marshall of Paoli, Indiana
Grandchildren - Ayla Lindsey (Gabe), Kyann Beausoleil (Dylan), Kodee Campbell, Archie Campbell, Austin Renner
and Connor Renner
Great-Grandchildren – Greyson and Henry Lindsey, and Rowyn Beausoleil
VISITATION
Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, May 21 st , 2026 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday, May
22 nd , 2026 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Friday, May 22 nd , 2026 by Rev. Terry Pinnick and John Abshire at
the Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home with cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the French Lick American Legion Post 76,
8607 West Main Street, French Lick, IN 47432 or the Orange County Humane Society, 856 North Greenbriar Drive,
Paoli, IN 47454.
