Rebecca Sue “Becky” Hoffman, 78, of Loogootee
Rebecca Sue “Becky” Hoffman, 78, of Loogootee, Indiana, passed away peacefully on
Saturday, May 17, 2025, in Greenwood, Indiana surrounded by her family.
Born on February 11, 1947, in Burns City, Indiana, she was the beloved daughter of the
late Charles and Mary Alice (Lankford) Hanger.
Becky married Karl Hoffman on October
16, 1965. She was a cherished presence at Rosie’s Flowers and Gifts where her artistic
eye and gentle spirit brought beauty into the lives of countless customers. Her love for
design and flowers bloomed further as she worked at the Clothes Line and Laurie’s
Flowers. She was a member of the Loogootee Methodist Church. Becky was active in
Weight Watchers since 1973, finding both purpose and friendship throughout her
journey. Becky loved to spend her time decorating and spending time with family.
Sharing everyday moments, or simply being together, family was at the heart of
everything she did. She will be deeply missed by her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Hoffman, and by her parents, Charles
and Mary Alice (Lankford) Hanger, and her sister, Edna Alma Wagoner.
Becky is lovingly remembered by her son, Ryan Michael (Dawn) Hoffman,
grandchildren, Bryce Hoffman, Brie Hoffman, and her granddogs, Grayson, and Cedar,
nephew, Vaugh Eric (Nicole) Wagoner, great-nieces, Keighan Wagoner, Kerrigan
Wagoner, honorary granddaughter, Chassidy (Tye) Collins, honorary great-
granddaughter, Kennedy Rose.
Friends may visit on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 3:00 P.M until 6:00 P.M at Blake
Funeral Home in Loogootee, Indiana and again on Thursday morning May 22, 2025
from 10:00 A.M until the time of service at 11:00 A.M the Loogootee Methodist Church.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 11:00 A.M at the Loogootee
Methodist Church with Pastor Colleen Harden and Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker to
officiate. Burial will follow in Goodwill Cemetery.
Becky will be remembered for her creativity, her kindness, and the love she so freely
gave.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or
the Martin County Humane Society in memory of Becky.
