Raymond Stapleton, age 91, of Huntingburg
Raymond Stapleton, age 91, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 11:26 a.m., Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.
He was born October 30, 1927, in Huntingburg, Indiana, to Thomas and Anna (Sunderman) Stapleton, and married Martha Posey on July 28, 1945, at the Salem Parsonage in Huntingburg. Raymond worked at the Huntingburg Brick Yard and Dolly Madison Furniture. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ and the Huntingburg Fraternal Order of Eagles. Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Stapleton, who passed away on April 12, 2013.

He is survived by his son, Gene Stapleton of Knoxville, Tennessee; one sister, Margie Knotts of Anderson, Ind.; one brother, Marvin Stapleton of Duff, Ind.; and two granddaughters, Holly Raymond of Canal Winchester, Ohio and Jana Raasch of Boynton Beach, Florida.
Memorial services for Raymond Stapleton will be held at 1:00 p.m., E.S.T., on Friday, February 22, 2019, at Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg with Reverend Mark McDaniel officiating.
Friends may call for visitation at Salem United Church of Christ from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., on Friday, the day of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Salem United Church of Christ. Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg has been entrusted with the arrangements.
