Myron Eugene Runyan, age 95 of Jasper

Myron Eugene Runyan, age 95 of Jasper, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2026, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

He was born on January 23, 1931 to Marcus and Lois (Kinney) Runyan.  Myron married Alberta Hubert on November 23, 1972.  She preceded him in death on January 1, 1976. Myron married Wilma Wineinger Dalton on June 4, 1980. Wilma brought six children into the marriage, and together, Myron, Wilma, and the children shared many happy years, creating lasting memories and building a loving family. He served our country in the United States Air Force, worked at DMI and retired from Kimball.  Tending his garden and growing a variety of vegetables and flowers, was his like his own little paradise. Myron was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Alberta, his second wife Wilma; four brothers, Joe, John, Charles and David Runyan; and three step-children, Mike Dalton, Diane Brothers and Cathy Visage.

He is survived by three step-children, Dave (Donna) Dalton of Huntingburg, James (Ann) Dalton of Jasper and Bob (Yvonne) Dalton of Leavenworth; a sister, Sara Wendt of Punta Gorda, Florida; sister-in-law, Nonna Miller of Huntingburg; and a dear friend and neighbor, Marilyn Dearing, who went above and beyond with loving kindness to Myron and Wilma throughout the years.

Visitation for Myron Runyan will be held on Thursday, November 5th at Central Christian Church in Huntingburg from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services at 11:00.  Jacob Keeling, will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Huntingburg.  Nass and Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.   In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Croix Hospice or Central Christian Church.
