Millard Anderson, 79, of French Lick
Millard Anderson, 79, of French Lick, Indiana passed away peacefully at his home on July 5 th , 2026.
He was born in Owsley County, Kentucky on May 11 th , 1947 to John Dillard and Martha (Allen) Anderson.
Millard married Nina Pennington on June 26 th , 1992 and she survives.
He was preceded in death by his:
Parents;
Son – Millard Ray Anderson;
and Brother – Halan Anderson.
Millard in his younger years worked in the coal mines, for 28 years at Kimball Piano, retired from Jasper Seating, and then
part-time at Rural King.
He attended The Church at Powell Valley and his faith was the foundation of his life and was evident in the way he served his
church family and everyone fortunate to know him.
Millard was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. Family was his greatest treasure
and he never missed an opportunity to encourage, support and celebrate the ones he loved.
He never met a stranger - Millard had a remarkable gift for making friends wherever he went feel welcomed, valued and
loved.
He found joy in life in simple pleasures – traveling, going out to eat with his wife, his love for animals, going out to the lake to
fish, and just loved being outdoors.
Millard is survived by:
Wife – Nina Anderson of French Lick, Indiana
Son – Jonathan Anderson of French Lick, Indiana
Daughters – Melinda (Rick) Lamar of California
Jessica Rockhold of Illinois
Jill Barghower of Bedford, Indiana
Krystal (Nick) Burn of Mitchell, Indiana
Numerous Grandchildren
and Great-Grandchildren

FUNERAL CEREMONY
A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Pastor Randy Stevens and Pastor Barry Groh on Friday, July 10 th , 2026 at 1:00
p.m. at The Church at Powell Valley with burial to follow at Anderson Cemetery.
VISITATION
Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, July 10 th , 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
