Mary L. McGlothlin White Poth, age 95, of Bloomington

Mary L. McGlothlin White Poth, age 95, of Bloomington, formerly of Dale, passed away at 2:45 a.m., Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Bell Trace Health & Living Center in Bloomington. 

She was born on March 23, 1930, in Evansville, Indiana, to Harlin Robert and Aleene Mae (Doss) McGlothlin. Mary graduated from Dale High School in 1948. She was a member of both the Dale Methodist Church and the Dale Presbyterian Church, where she shared her musical talent as a pianist. Mary was also an active member of the Lincoln Club and was employed as a secretary for BF Goodrich.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert Lloyd White; her second husband, Austin Poth; and her siblings, Bettye McGlothlin Goldsmith, Evelyn McGlothlin Houchin, Jean McGlothlin Brumbaugh, June McGlothlin, Robert McGlothlin, Laura Lee McGlothlin Withers, Gary McGlothlin, and Sharon McGlothlin. 

She is survived by three children, Wade Lloyd (Katie) White of Texas, Diane Kathleen White (Cliff) Petersohn of Bloomington, and Wayne Alan (Maria) White of Santa Claus; one sibling, Kathleen McGlothlin Huff; by 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service for Mary L. McGlothlin White Poth will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Dale Cemetery.  Rainey Funeral Home in Dale has been entrusted with handling the arrangements.  Condolences may be shared online at: www.raineyfuneralhome.com
