Mary J. Bradley, 92, of Loogootee

Mary J. Bradley, 92, of Loogootee, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Poplar Care Strategies in Loogootee, Indiana.

Born on March 30, 1933, she was the youngest daughter of George and Sarah “Sadie” (Greenwell) Bradley.

Mary was a lifelong member of St. John the Evangelist Church. She lived a simple life rooted in deep faith, finding joy in the everyday moments that mattered most. She was a fan of Loogootee and I.U. basketball.

She lovingly cared for generations of local children, cherishing each laugh, story, and small hand held in hers. The outdoors was her sanctuary, and she found her greatest happiness in tending her garden under bright, open skies—sunny days were her absolute favorite, bringing her a special kind of peace and warmth that she carried within her.

She also shared her love through her kitchen, where her homemade white chocolate-covered pretzels became treasured treats that family and friends eagerly anticipated.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Irene Ford, Eileen Haag, “Bill” William C. Bradley, Lucille Bradley, Benard Bradley, and Joe Bradley.

Surviving is her niece, Rita Divine of Loogootee; great-nieces: Jackie (Kyle Jones) Lannan of Evansville, Indiana, Jessie (Jason) Bell of Loogootee; and 5 great-great nieces and 1 great-great nephew who were like her own grandchildren: Gabrielle, Sophia, and Vivienne Lannan; Cora, Rawlings, and Remington Bell; and several nieces and nephews.
