Mary Ann Alvey, age 65, of Huntingburg

Mary Ann Alvey, age 65, of Huntingburg, formerly of Velpen, passed away at 8:16 a.m., on Friday, April 27, 2018, at Memorial Hospital in Jasper.

She was born January 9, 1953, in Perry County, Indiana to Earl and Theresa (Kupper) Kline; and married Jerry Ray Alvey in 1977 at Rockport.  Mary worked as a housekeeper and dietary aide at Providence Home; was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg; and enjoyed angels, yard sales, and country music.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Jerry Ray Alvey, who died January 29, 2013.

She is survived by two sisters, Betty (Roger) Phillips of Huntingburg and Marlene King of Stendal; and three brothers, Richard (Ann) Kline of Stendal, Kenneth (Jennifer) Kline of Jasper and Gabriel (Carrie) Kline of Dubois.

 Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

 Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Monday, April 30^th.  A parish vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
