Lois Marie Payne, age 69 of Shoals

Lois Marie Payne, age 69 of Shoals, passed away unexpectedly on July 20 th , 2026. Lois was born Feb 5 th , 1957 to Clara Louise(Cooke) Landers and Richard Landers(both deceased).

She leaves behind one sibling, Patricia Landers, and was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Landers.

Lois married Charles Robert “Junior” Payne(deceased) on October 2 nd , 1976 and they were together for nearly 34 years preceding his death.

She had two children, Amy Troutman of Shoals and Missy(Chad) Dorsey, also of Shoals. She had six grand-children: Cody Troutman, Madison Dorsey, Malyia Dorsey, Tryndyll Dorsey, Kaylee Headley, and was preceded in death by her youngest grandchild, Rolen Wilson. Lois had one great-grandchild, Kinley DeleonyPena She also had one nephew, Rusty Landers, and two nieces, Amanda Miller and Ashley Payne.

Lois was devoted to her family. She worked may years at Kimball Electronics, RJ’s Food Mart, Shoals Community Schools, and was Secretary for the Shoals Eagles Ladies Auxiliary #2442 for nearly 20 years.

Her favorite memories were of her grand children and motorcycle riding with her husband before he passed. T

here will be a celebration of life announced at a later date in lieu of a funeral, as she requested.
