Leroy Hoffman, age 86, of Jasper

Leroy Hoffman, age 86, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 11:37 p.m. on Monday, October 26, 2020, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, Indiana.
 
Leroy was born in Boone Township, Indiana, on April 1, 1934, to Edgar and Dee (Jackle) Hoffman.  He had two marriages. His first marriage was to Gladys M. Seitz on November 17, 1955. His second marriage was to Patty Wineinger on March 16, 1996. Reverend Darrell Wineinger officiated. 
 
Leroy was a Jasper High School graduate.
 
He and his brother, Nelson owned and operated Hoffman Sawmill in Portersville, Indiana for over 50 years. He was a lifelong farmer.
 
He was a member of Jasper Outdoor Recreation and St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Haysville, IN.
 
Leroy enjoyed fishing, farming, mushroom hunting, and homemade ice-cream. He loved sports; especially the Pacers and Indiana University Basketball.
 
Surviving are his wife, Patty Hoffman, Jasper, IN, three sons; Kurt Hoffman and companion Carol Allen, Haysville, IN,  Jerry (Carla) Hoffman, Jasper, IN,  David (Cindy) Hoffman, Fairfield, IL, two daughters; Cheryl Hauser, Jasper, IN, and Katherine St. Clair, Jasper, IN, nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one on the way, two brother-in-laws; Robert Wineinger, Nicholson Valley, IN and Reverend Darrell (Barbara) Wineinger, Jasper, IN, one sister Elsie Keller, Jasper, IN and one brother; Nelson (Sharon) Hoffman, Jasper, IN and several nieces and nephews.
 
Preceding him in death is one son, Ricky Hoffman.
 
Funeral services for Leroy Hoffman will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2020,  at the Becher Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in Portersville Cemetery in Portersville, Indiana. Reverend Darell Wineinger will officiate.  
 
A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to the 1:00 p.m. service time at the Becher Kluesner Funeral Home North Chapel. A prayer service by Pastor Tim Holt will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home on Thursday, October 29, 2020.
 
Masks and social distancing will be required. The family understands if you cannot make the services because of the pandemic.
 
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Haysville or to a favorite charity.
