Leo H. Boeglin, age 84, of Jasper

Leo H. Boeglin, age 84, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 10:05 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2022, in Scenic Hills at the Monastery in Ferdinand, Indiana. 

Leo was born in Haubstadt, Indiana, on February 3, 1938, to Leo A. And Luella (Market) Boeglin.  He married Phyllis C. Cutteridge on August 23, 1958, in St. James Catholic Church in Haubstadt, Indiana.  She preceded him in death on July 1, 2017. 

Leo was a graduate of Haubstadt High School and then the University of Evansville. 

He was a Business Analyst for Kimball International for 33 years.  He also was the owner of Boeglin Appliance and T.V. 

He was a member of Precious Blood Catholic church in Jasper, Indiana and the Jasper Kiwanis, where he was a past president, secretary and member of the board of directors.  He was a 4-H leader and adult leader president, and on the 4-H Council and the County Extension Board.  He was a member of PCARET, which was a lobbying group for Purdue.  He was involved in the high school band organization, and was past president of the high school band parents.  Leo was also a precinct committeeman for the Vanderburg County Republicans. 

He enjoyed woodworking, working in the garden, and spending time with family. 

Surviving are two sons, Ed (Shelly) Boeglin, Huntingburg, IN, David L. (Mary Sue) Boeglin, Jasper, IN, and six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one sister, Rose Marie (Jan) Huber, Surprise, AZ, and two brothers, Roy (Linda) Boeglin, Haubstadt, IN, and Irvan Boeglin, Crawfordsville, IN. 

Preceding him in death besides his wife is one daughter, Patty Boeglin, one grandson, Ted Boeglin, and one brother and sister-in-law, Earl (Mary Jo) Boeglin.  

A Mass of Christian Burial for Leo H. Boeglin will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2022, in Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. 

A visitation will be held from 2:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2022, in the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana, and one hour before services at the church on Friday from 9:00-10:00 a.m.
