Kevin T. Rauscher, age 64 of Celestine
Kevin T. Rauscher, age 64 of Celestine, passed away peacefully at Deaconess Hospital
in Henderson, KY, on Sunday, June 28, 2026.
Kevin was born on June 8, 1962 in Clarksville, IN, to the late Leon and Ruth
(Wellemeyer) Rauscher.
He was a 1980 Southridge High School graduate and attended ITT tech with studies in
drafting and design. Kevin retired after 30 years as a product engineer for Kimball
International. He loved all things outdoors and was an avid fisherman, and looked
forward every year to a fishing trip to Bull Shoals Lake in Arkansas with lifelong friends,
a trip he was part of for over 40 years. He did enjoy some time inside, as long as it was
at French Lick or Owensboro Casino, or having supper and playing games with family
and friends.
Kevin will be missed by the fabulous four group, the Sunday game nights, good food,
music, friendship and quick wit. Do not be sad for Kevin, he lived his life to the fullest
and lives on in people who he gave futures to.
Kevin is survived by his brother, Kurt (Elaine) Rauscher of Huntingburg; two nephews,
Tyler (Kelly) Rauscher and Derek (Lauren) Andrews both of Jasper; and numerous
family and friends.
A special thank you to all the staff at Deaconess Hospital in Jasper and Henderson for
the care that was given, Hannah at Brookside for her continued concern, Dr. Qadir for
his medical attention, and for the kindness of family who gave prayer and shelter in the
time of need.
Visitation for Kevin Rauscher will be held at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in
Huntingburg from
1:00 -7:00 p.m., EDT, on Friday, July 3, 2026, with funeral services being held at 4:00
p.m., Friday.
