Kathleen Marie Satkamp, age 90, of Holland

 Kathleen Marie Satkamp, age 90, of Holland, Indiana, passed away at 1:31 a.m., on Friday, July 19, 2019, at the Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.

 She was born October 12, 1928, in Huntingburg, Indiana, to Gus A. and Ireatha (Bennett) Ahrens; and married Noble C. Satkamp on December 6, 1947, at Salem Church in Huntingburg.  Kathleen was a homemaker; a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Holland, the Red Hat Society, Holland Senior Citizens and the Happy Homemakers Club for over thirty years.  She enjoyed sewing, horticulture, growing flowers, the companionship of her cats, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Noble C. Satkamp, who died January 15, 1990; her parents; one son, Dean Satkamp, who died February 14, 1969; and one grandson, Matt Holland, who died in 2014.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Steve (Judy) Satkamp of Holland, Ind.; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Karen (Frank) Kwasny of Schererville, Ind. and Donna (Gary) Holland of Boonville, Ind.; five siblings, Carl Ahrens and Phillip Ahrens both of Huntingburg, Marilyn Lichlyter and Jessie Reed both of Holiday, Florida, and Virginia Nixon-Servos of Washington State; and by (6) grandchildren and (12) great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Kathleen Satkamp will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.D.T., on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at St. James Lutheran Church in Holland with burial to follow at St. James Lutheran Cemetery.  Pastor David Darling will officiate at the service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3:00-7:00 p.m., on Monday, July 22^nd; and also at church from 9:00-10:00 a.m., on Tuesday.  Memorial contributions can be made to St. James Lutheran Church in Holland.
