Karen Anne Hickman, aged 71, of Shoals, Indiana, passed away at her residence on
Sunday, January 4, 2025.
Born on July 20, 1954, in Loogootee, Indiana, she was the beloved daughter of John
and Norma (Wagoner) Hickman.
Karen was a Gold Star sibling, and lifetime member of
St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She spent her life making a home for her
family. Karen enjoyed thrifting, living in her country home along with her beloved dog,
Ellie, and spending time with her favorite person, Joe.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Thomas Steven Hickman.
Karen is lovingly remembered by her domestic partner, Joe Dunn; her children, Leslie
(Trevor) Guy and Lynzee Hickman; grandchildren: Devin, Trevor, and Luke; siblings:
Kelly (Matt) Bridgewater and Scott Hickman; several nieces and nephews; Joe’s
children: Tamara Dunn, George Dunn; and Katie (Tony) Doyle; grandchildren: Alix and
Zakk Doyle.
According to her wishes, cremation was chosen with a burial to take place at a later
date.
