Julie J. Diamond, 54, of Loogootee
Julie J. Diamond, 54, of Loogootee, Indiana passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at her
home.
She was born on February 15, 1971, in Washington, Indiana to Edward Francis Wildman and
Penny Louise (Offutt) Summers.
Above all else, Julie loved her family. That was her greatest joy and the focus of her life. Though
she worked full-time, every moment outside of work was devoted to pouring her time, energy,
and love into her children and grandchildren. Being present for them—supporting, caring, and
simply spending time together—was what mattered most to her.
She enjoyed the quiet pleasures of everyday life: reading, doing puzzles, watching movies, and
cheering on her favorite sports teams. She loved playing cards, especially euchre and poker,
and her favorite game of all was Monopoly, which often brought family together around the
table. She also had a deep love for animals and was always happy to dog-sit for her son’s dog
and her sister’s dogs, caring for them as lovingly as she did everything else in her life.
She will be remembered for her devotion, her reliability, and the way her love made her family
feel supported and safe. Her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren, and all those who
were fortunate enough to be loved by her.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Penny Summers, her mother-in-law, Elnora Diamond,
her father- in-law, John B. Diamond, and brother-in-law, Jimmy Diamond.
Julie is survived by her husband, Richard Diamond, her children: Landon (Niki), Alaina and Luke
Diamond; her grandchildren: Grayson and Riley Diamond; her sister, Vickie (Scott) Callison; her
father and step-mother, Edward (Beulah) Wildman of IL; her aunt, Patricia Roesner of
Vincennes; her sister-in-law, Carol (David) Cordell of GA; her brothers-in-law, John (Cathy)
Diamond of MI, Arvil (Tina) Diamond of MI, Eddie (Bonnie) Diamond of Loogootee and Scott
Diamond of GA; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
