Judith A. Snyder, age 80, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away with family by her side at 3:23 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Legacy Living in Jasper, Indiana.
Judy was born in Kansas City, Missouri on September 14, 1945, to Eugene and Kathryne (Gstrein) Rogers. She married James Snyder on August 7, 1966, at First Christian Church in Lathrop, Missouri.
She was a graduate of the University of Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She taught grade school in Eldon, Missouri and California, Missouri. She later moved to Indiana where she began a 40-year career with Kimball before retiring.Judy loved spending time with her family and her two grandsons. When they were younger, she delighted in watching them perform at band contests as well as attending many school sporting events. She enjoyed antiquing and attending St. Louis Cardinals baseball games with her husband. She was also a member of Kappa Delta Phi sorority and enjoyed participating in various volunteer opportunities with her sorority sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jim Snyder, Jasper; one daughter, Stephanie (Mike) Park, Jasper; two grandsons: Griffin (Alyssa) Park and Carson Park, both of Indianapolis; and one sister, Jean (Bob) Vaughn, Gladstone, Missouri.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, David, who died in infancy, and brother-in-law, Fred Snyder.
A funeral service for Judith A. Snyder will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the Becher Kluesner downtown funeral home in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. Pastor Dave Chinn will officiate.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2026, at the Becher Kluesner downtown funeral home.
