Jeanette M. Meyer, age 81, of Jasper, Indiana, lost her battle with cancer on September 27, 2026, at home surrounded by her loved ones.
Jeanette was born in Winchester, Virginia, on February 2, 1945, to Ernest and Cleo Letterman. She married Maurice D. Meyer on June 29, 1992. He preceded her in death on October 30, 2006.
She graduated from Jasper High School, was a member of the First Baptist Church, and a life member of the Moose Lodge.
She retired from OFS Brands in 2009.Jeanette enjoyed spending time with her family, being a cat mom, and playing Euchre.
Jeanette is survived by her babies who were with her until the very end, her nephew, Mark Chamness, and her nieces, Cathy Rinehart, Karen Andry, and Lisa Letterman. She is also survived by her brother, Conley Letterman, several nieces and nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and her precious cats.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, Maurice “Deano” Meyer, her brothers, Gayle Letterman and Stanley Letterman, and her sister, Joan Brown.
A gravesite service at Hills Church Cemetery in Dubois, Indiana, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.Memorial contributions may be made to the Lange Fuhs Cancer Center in Jasper.
