Harold was a proud graduate of Loogootee High School, class of 1953, where he formed friendships that lasted a lifetime. It was in Loogootee that he met the love of his life, Ina Louise Sutton. They were married on February 12, 1956, beginning their journey together that would span 67 years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and family, raising their two children, H. Gene (Debbie) Parsons, Jr. and Vicki (Stephen) Dills.

Harold's life was a testament to the love and commitment he held for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth and wisdom to his 6 grandchildren, 12 great- grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. Harold also leaves behind siblings Roger Parsons and Donna Walker, as well as, several nieces and nephews who will fondly remember his gentle spirit and generous nature.

He was predeceased by his parents, Jesse and Ethel, his brother Jesse Lee and wife Barbara, sister-in-law Carolyn Howell and husband Robert, brother-in-law Robert Watson, and his cherished wife, Louise.

Harold found comfort in the memories they shared and the love that continues to surround him through his surviving family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Truelove Church Cemetery Fund, ensuring that Harold's legacy of generosity continues to support the community he loved. In his later years, Harold was cared for by the compassionate staff at Ketcham Memorial, to whom the family extends their heartfelt gratitude.
