Garnett Ray Boyd, 74, of Shoals, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Daviess Community
Hospital in Washington.
Born May 5, 1952, in Shoals, he was the son of John W. “Jack” and Ruth (Hawkins) Boyd.
Garney attended Shoals High School.
He married Brenda K. Hart on June 26, 1975, and she survives.
Garney enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on trucks, and spending time with his family.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Brenda; children, Kenny Boyd and Kelly (Glenn) Gray;
grandchildren, Bethany, Garnetta, and Zoey; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Larry Boyd, Gary Boyd, Ronnie Boyd, and Wilma
Wilcoxen.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, May 18, 2026, at the Queen-Lee Chapel of George
Funeral Care with Pastor James Kahler officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Monday at the Queen-Lee Chapel, Shoals.
