Evelyn “Donna” (Sturgeon) Smith, 75, of English

Evelyn “Donna” (Sturgeon) Smith, 75, of English, Indiana died on April 19, 2025 at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, Indiana.  Donna was born on January 18, 1950 near Doolittle Mills to the late Dale and Dora M. (Hall) Sturgeon.

Donna was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening.  She attended the Sulphur Pentecostal Church and loved the Lord.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents and siblings:  Opal Hammond, Mary Ann Qualkenbush, Helen Brown, Aussie and Jerry, and Lee Sturgeon.

She is survived by her husband, Doyle E. Smith; sons:  Jeff D. Smith (Amy) of St.Croix, Indiana, Stephen E. Smith (Kathy Harrison) of West Fork, Indiana, and Scott R. Smith (Mary Ann Hines) of Leavenworth, Indiana; grandchildren:  Brittany Smith, Zach Smith, Seth Smith, Jadyn Smith, Logen Smith, Katie Smith, and Bridget Smith; and great-grandchildren, Braelynn and Brody Purcell.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. EDT at the Brown Funeral Home, 306 Spring Street, Milltown, Indiana 47145.  Interment will follow in the Doolittle Mills Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, after 11:00 am until time of the service at 1:00 p.m. EDT, at the funeral home.

Bro. Al Madden will officiate the funeral service.
