Eugene Pinnick, 86, of French Lick

Eugene Pinnick, 86, of French Lick, Indiana entered into eternal rest on March 9 th , 2026 at Springs Valley Meadows. 

He was born in Shoals, Indiana on October 14 th , 1939 to Albert and Louise (Richardson) Pinnick. Gene married Edith Galloway on October 21 st , 1959 and she followed him in death on March 12 th , 2026 to be with him. 

He was preceded in death by his Parents and Brother – James “Jimmy” Pinnick. 

Gene was a 1958 graduate of Shoals High School, a member of Youngs Creek Church of Christ, and retired after 39 years from the Indiana Department of Revenue where he was a Field Auditor and District Manager. 

He had served on the Public Defender Board, Orange County Community Foundation Board of Directors, Humane Society Board and First Chance Center Board of Directors, Orange County Tourism Board, and served one term on the Orange County Council. 

Gene was a recipient of the Distinguished Hooser Award and a Charter Member of the JayCees. He enjoyed buying, selling and collecting antique clocks and could fix and repair most of them. Gene also enjoyed flying and aerial photography with his son Brent, and feeding the deer and birds. 

Gene is survived by: Son – Brent Pinnick (Marilyn) of West Baden Springs, Indiana Daughter – Brenda Wyman (Gary) of French Lick, Indiana Granddaughter – Kayla Best (Logan) of French Lick, Indiana Bonus Grandsons – Bill Choate, Jason (Michelle) Choate, and Jordan (Jane) Wyman Bonus Granddaughter – Amanda (John) Bush Several Bonus Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren 
 
FUNERAL CEREMONY 
A Funeral Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, March 18 th , 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home with burial to follow at Paoli Community Cemetery. 

VISITATION 
Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, March 17 th , 2026 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 18 th , 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to First Chance Center, 986 W. Hospital Road, Paoli, IN 47454 or Anderson Cemetery, c/o Greg Benge, 5239 Emmons Lane, Shoals, IN 47581.
