Eugene “Gene” Hildenbrand, 90, of Evanston

Gene was born December 24, 1934 in Spencer County to Edward and Pauline (Haller) Hildenbrand. Gene was a graduate of Dale High School. He served in the National Guard. Gene worked in maintenance at Holiday World for 45 years. He also loved farming on the family farm. Gene was a member of St. Boniface Parish in Fulda. 

He is survived by his son, Scott (Tara) Hildenbrand of Evanston and daughter, Lynn (Johnny) Preston of Danville, KY; four grandchildren, Jake and Lexi Preston and Taylor and Trenton Terrell. 

Gene was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Hildenbrand and a sister, Elsie Blythe. 

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM CDT Tuesday, April 29th at St. Boniface Church in Fulda. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 9:00 AM CDT until time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Boniface Church Cemetery Fund or the St. Boniface Church Preservation Fund.
