Dubois County Redesignated as an Indiana Healthy Community
Dubois County has been redesignated as an Indiana Healthy Community by the Wellness
Council of Indiana, recognizing the county’s continued commitment to improving the health and well-
being of its residents.
The redesignation was achieved through the efforts of the Dubois County Public Health Partnership, a
group of community stakeholders working together to identify local health priorities and develop
strategies to improve community health.
“Being redesignated as an Indiana Healthy Community reflects the dedication and collaboration of many
individuals and organizations throughout Dubois County,” said Shawn Werner, Administrative Director
of the Dubois County Health Department. “We are proud of the work accomplished through the Dubois
County Public Health Partnership and grateful to all of our community partners who contributed their
time, expertise, and resources to this effort.”
Dubois County was first designated as an Indiana Healthy Community in 2019. The redesignation
recognizes the county’s continued collaboration and community-driven efforts to improve health
outcomes and create a healthier place to live, work, and raise a family.
The Dubois County Health Department thanks the members of the Dubois County Public Health
Partnership and all community partners who contributed to this effort.
