Dolores L. Fuesler, age 78, of Huntingburg

Dolores L. Fuesler, age 78, of Huntingburg, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at Serenity Springs Senior Living at Northwood in Jasper.  She was born July 21,1948, in Jasper, to Roman S. and Pauline (Dilger) Schum.

Dolores patterned her life around hard work and dedication.  She set an incredible example to her family and friends by working two full-time jobs for many years to overcome setbacks in life that she experienced. She did all this while still caring for her family, and providing for her two sons.   One of her greatest joys was watching her grandchildren playing in various sports and would often drive hours away to do so.  Dolores had a deeply generous spirit and genuinely cared about making sure the people in her life felt heard, loved, and supported and would spend hours on the phone with friends just to lift their day. Dolores also enjoyed the outdoors; walking in the park on many mornings.  Dolores was preceded in death by her sister, Sylvia Mae Schum in infancy; father, Roman Schum; and mother, Pauline (Dilger) Schum.

Surviving are two sons, Larry (Kristine) Fuesler of Huntingburg and Greg (Stacey) Fuesler of Sturgis, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Tyler Fuesler of Grove Center, Kentucky, Cameron and Benjamin Fuesler both of Huntingburg.

Visitation for Dolores Fuesler will be held at Nass and Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 10th, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m.  A mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. E.S.T. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow in the church cemetery.   A parish rosary will be held at the church at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  Condolences may be shared at www.nassandson.com
