Dee Sickbert, age 66, of Dale
She was born November 16, 1959, in Huntingburg to Paul and Mildred (Kunkler) Hemmer. Dee graduated from Heritage Hills High School then married Bruce Sickbert on September 30, 1978 at Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg. They enjoyed going to auctions, collecting UHL pottery and antiques. Dee was a member of Salem UCC; a 50-year member of the Ferdinand American Legion Auxiliary and was a childcare provider. She was a fan of Cardinal Baseball and I.U. Basketball but enjoyed watching any kind of sport. Dee was a shopping enthusiast; always willing to participate as well as making a warm and loving home for her family; surrounding them with her love and attention. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Matthew Sickbert in 2022; and a brother, Larry Hemmer.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce Sickbert of Dale; a daughter, Cinthia (Heath) Siddons of Dale; a daughter-in-law, Erica (nee: Gasser) Sickbert of Dale; two sisters, Pat Ewing of Chrisney, Linda Hurly of Richland; a brother, David Hemmer of Evansville; 5 grandchildren, Maci and Graham Hubster, Harley Sickbert, Kennedy and Paisley Siddons.
Services will be held a Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. EST. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. EST, Thursday, December 4th, 2025 and also one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. Pastor Jeff Donihue will officiate the service. Burial will take place at a later date.
