Deborah Faye Bratton, 48, of Loogootee

She was born February 24, 1974, in Bedford, Indiana to Dallas and Diane (Sheetz) Gilbert. 

For 27 years Debbie was employed at the Loogootee Nursing Center. She began her career as a CNA, then QMA and lastly completed her Associates Degree to become an LPN. Debbie was a loved healthcare professional to her community and touched many people’s lives. Debbie was a member of the Loogootee United Methodist Church, where she was active in the Children’s Church and Pioneer Club. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and spending time with her family. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Dallas Gilbert. 

Debbie is survived by her husband, Shannon, of Loogootee; sons, Kendall Bratton, Kirk Bratton, and Kasey Bratton, all of Loogootee; mother, Diane Gilbert of Loogootee; brother, David (Brandi) Gilbert of Shoals; sister, Dana Gilbert of Loogootee; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and niece. 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at the Loogootee United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Goodwill Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Loogootee United Methodist Church. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to payable to the Loogootee United Methodist Church for the Kasey Bratton Trust Fund or the Loogootee United Methodist Church.
