Carol Jean Webb, age 92, of Santa Claus

Carol Jean Webb, age 92, of Santa Claus, passed away at 11:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Scenic Hills at the Monastery in Ferdinand.

Carol was born on March 8, 1934, in Warrick County, Indiana, to Theodore and Oma Lee (Evans) Roberts. She was united in marriage to John Arthur Webb on September 6, 1953. A faithful member of Noel United Methodist Church in Santa Claus, Carol lived a life centered on faith, family, and service to others.  For more than 35 years, she worked as an accountant at St. Joseph Hospital in Huntingburg. In her free time, Carol enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, and working puzzles. Above all, she treasured her family and found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Arthur Webb; one son, Robert Lance Webb; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Webb.

She is survived by one son, Brett Webb of Dale; one brother, Stanley (Judy) Roberts of Holland; four grandchildren, Dawn, Amy, Joni and Tisha; and by seven great-grandchildren, Brandon, Ethan, Elliot, Michael, Emma, Claire and Samantha.

A memorial service for Carol Jean Webb will be held at 11:00 a.m., C.D.T., on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Rainey Funeral Home in Dale.  Pastor Jill Kaetzel will officiate.

Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 a.m., C.D.T., on Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Historic Santa Claus Campground.  Condolences may be shared online at: www.raineyfuneralhome.com
