Bruce Harold Hastings, age 86, of Cochranton, Pennsylvania, residing in Velpen, passed away at 7:11 p.m., on Friday, May 29, 2026, at his son's house.
He was born on August 10, 1939, in Woodsville, New Hampshire, to Harold P. Hastings and Lillian (Webster) Hastings. He was united in marriage to Dolores Jean McIntyre, with whom he shared many years of love and companionship.
Bruce was a man of many talents who was known for his strong work ethic and ability to fix nearly anything with his hands. He worked for 28 years at the Talon Zipper Factory before retiring. In addition to his career, he enjoyed working as a handyman and was skilled in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work.
Above all, his faith was the most important part of his life. Bruce faithfully served as a pastor, caretaker and president of First Bible Holiness camp for many years and for a few years at South TX Holiness Camp. In later years, he attended Mt. Joy Church.
Bruce loved his family and treasured every opportunity to spend time with them. He will be remembered for his willingness to help others, his many skills, and the love he shared with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dolores Jean Hastings; two brothers, David and Bobby Hastings; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
He is survived by four children, Darrell (Louise) Hastings of Velpen, Dennis (Susie) Hastings of Oklahoma, Brenda (Daniel) Copeland of Shoals and Barton Hastings of Pennsylvania; one sister, Patricia Hastings of Pennsylvania; and by ten grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
A private service for Bruce Harold Hastings will be held at Rainey Funeral Home in Dale. Burial will take place at Peters Cemetery in Pennsylvania. Condolences may be shared online at: www.raineyfuneralhome.com
