Billy Dean Wildman, 69, of Shoals, Indiana passed away peacefully on Sunday February 15, 2026, at 3:45 PM at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, Indiana surrounded by his family.
He was born on November 8, 1956, in Washington, Indiana to Billy Leland and Mabel Sue (Heshelman) Wildman.
Billy graduated from Loogootee High School in 1975. He then went to Oakland City College and graduated from the Auto Diesel Mechanics Program. He was an auto mechanic by trade; a profession he took pride in throughout his life. He worked for over 42 years as a mechanic at Albright’s, Winkle’s, and the Petro Tire Shop, where he dedicated himself to the craft and built many friendships along the way. Outside of work, Billy enjoyed watching tractor pulls, spending time fishing, and camping. He liked to go boating and driving his golf cart but most of all he liked to spend time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Steven Wildman, and his niece, Stephanie (Wildman) Chesnut.
Billy is survived by his sons, Brian (Cinnamon) Wildman of French Lick, Indiana, Brandon (Jada) Wildman of Odon, Indiana, his brother, Norman (Debbie) Wildman of Loogootee, Indiana, grandchildren, Sabrina, Bailey, Chase, Bryce, Navaeh and great-grandchildren, Serenity, Chloe, Electra, Laney, Kayce, several nieces and nephews including, Sara, Wesley, Megan, Ashley, Angela, Nathan, Daniel, Megan, and his significant other of 15 years, Ramaetta “Jeannie” Dye.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday February 20, 2026, at 11:00 A.M at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee, Indiana with Stan Day to officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Union Cemetery in Loogootee, Indiana.
Friends may visit on Friday February 20, 2026, from 9:00 A.M until 11:00 A.M at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee, Indiana.
