Bernice L. Reuber, age 81, of Dubois

Bernice was born in Schnellville, Indiana on November 13, 1944, to Otto and Margaret (Schnell) Vogler. She married Thomas F. Reuber on October 24, 1964, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Schnellville.   

Bernice was a Birdseye High School graduate. 

She cared for her family for many years and ran a childcare in her home. Later, she worked at St. Raphael’s Parish as an administrative assistant. 

She was a member of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church- St. Isidore Parish, the Parish Sodality, and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. 

Bernice was a woman of deep Catholic faith and her relationship with God was at the very foundation of her life. 

She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, reading, baking, word puzzles, and Sheephead. She was an avid dancer and especially enjoyed polka and waltzes. 

She cherished her dance family. She loved sharing her recipes and helping on the family farm. 

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Thomas Reuber, Dubois; four children: Dave (Michele) Reuber, Dubois; Jeff (Denise) Reuber, Dubois; Becky (Terry) Fleck, Dubois; and Jane (Monty) Prechtel, Schnellville; 10 grandchildren: Brooke, Nichole, Amber, Krystal, Briare, Emily, Travis, Nathan, Kade, and Cole, 11 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
