Benny D. Owen, 83, Paoli

Benny D. Owen, 83, Paoli, Indiana, passed away Friday, May 6, 2022, peacefully at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana.

He was born on January 16, 1939, in Cuzco, Indiana to Elvis E. Owen and Lillian Blanche Crowe Owen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvis E. Owen and Lillian Blanche Crowe Owen, Brother Ellis J. Owen, and nephew David G. Owen.

Benny married Grady J. Carwile on September 1, 1956. In 1974, Benny established and operated Owen Detective agency up to 1988 when he sold his portion of the business. Benny owned a furniture and gun store for many years. He enjoyed working with all local law enforcement departments. Benny was an avid CB Radio enthusiast, always generous with all and an avid animal lover. He was a member of the Prospect Church of Christ.

Funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Dillman-Scott funeral Home wit viewing before from 9-11AM. Officiating with be Larry Mickler and Mike Prestininzi. Burial with follow and be at Paoli Community Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, May 9, 2022, from 4-7PM
