Austin J. Haake, 31, of St. Louis

Austin J. Haake, 31, of St. Louis, MO, tragically passed away in an automobile accident on August 27, 2026. Austin was born on January 23, 1995, in Huntingburg, to Henry and Lisa (Knies) Haake.

Austin is a graduate of Forest Park High School, Class of 2013, and a graduate of Purdue University, Class of 2017. He worked in construction management as a field engineer. Austin was a motorcycle enthusiast, loving both to ride and work on his bike. He also appreciated music in many ways: going to concerts, listening to, and collecting vinyl records. Through work, he experienced and lived in many places acoss the US. In his free time, he also enjoyed working out, weightlifting, and spending time doing outdoor activities. His kind heart and carefree demeanor was apparent through his actions and his love for his family and friends.

Austin is survived by his mother, Lisa Haake of Ferdinand; sisters: Athena (Neal) Goffinet of Littleton, CO, and Aliya Haake of St. Louis, MO; niece Margot Goffinet and nephew Leo Goffinet, and girlfriend Jill Roberts of St Louis, MO.

Austin is preceded in death by his father Henry Haake, paternal grandparents: J. Roy and Sally Haake; and maternal grandparents: Linus and Margaret Knies.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.
