Aaron J. Barke, age 50, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Aaron was born in Bagley, Minnesota, on February 27, 1976, to Jimmy Floyd Barke and Lynne Kaye (Windecker) Hogan. He married Patty Hopf on January 30, 2017, in Clarksville Tennessee.
He began his 20-year military career in the United States Air Force and retired as Staff Seargent from the United States Army in 2024.
Above all, Aaron loved his family and his children. He enjoyed golfing, his animals, and tinkering on his car and motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife of 9 years, Patty Barke, daughters, Ilyse and Natalie Barke, stepchildren, Marcus Hobert and Grace Englert, mother and stepfather, Pat and Lynne Hogan, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gary J. and Sara Hopf, three sisters: Megan Geraldo, Mara Clayton, and Anna (Mike) Lundin, step-sisters, Jessica (James) Butler and Angela Hogan.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Floyd Barke.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Aaron J. Barke will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 8, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. The V.F.W. Post #673 will conduct military graveside rites. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday.
