FERDINAND -- YMCA’s will be allowed to reopen in Indiana on Friday as part of the governor's Back-on-Track Indiana Plan.
At the Tri-County Y in Ferdinand, officials are waiting until Sunday to reopen. Hours Sunday will be from noon until 4 p.m. Memorial Day Monday, the YMCA will be open from 6 a.m. until noon. Starting Tuesday, the Y will run on normal hours.
Members can expect several changes including spacing fitness equipment for physical distancing, a limited capacity for classes, additional hand sanitizing stations and staff will conduct additional cleaning of the facility and equipment on a regular basis.
Staff will wear masks unless they are in their office or leading a class or program. Members are asked to wear a mask when entering the facility until they arrive at their exercise destination.No guest passes will be sold at this time and children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
