FROM LOCAL SOURCES

FERDINAND -- YMCA’s will be allowed to reopen in Indiana on Friday as part of the governor's Back-on-Track Indiana Plan.

At the Tri-County Y in Ferdinand, officials are waiting until Sunday to reopen.  Hours Sunday will be from noon until 4 p.m.  Memorial Day Monday, the YMCA will be open from 6 a.m. until noon.  Starting Tuesday, the Y will run on normal hours.

Members can expect several changes including spacing fitness equipment for physical distancing, a limited capacity for classes, additional hand sanitizing stations and staff will conduct additional cleaning of the facility and equipment on a regular basis.

Staff will wear masks unless they are in their office or leading a class or program.  Members are asked to wear a mask when entering the facility until they arrive at their exercise destination.

No guest passes will be sold at this time and children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Members are also encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle and your own yoga mat.  Also, come to the facility ready to workout.
