Water Rates in Santa Claus to Go Up By Over 23 Percent

SANTA CLAUS -- The Santa Claus Town Council and Water Board passed an ordinance Friday evening that will increase the water rate by 23.5 percent. 

This comes after Patoka Lake Water District increased their water rates to the town. 

The district supplies two-thirds of the town's water, so not all residents will see an increase in their bills. However, some houses may see a $5 average increase on water bills beginning in April.
