Velpen Woman Arrested for Meth, OWI Refusal
Jasper - Monday evening, a routine traffic stop led to charges for a Velpen woman.
Jasper Police Department conducted a routine traffic stop at the intersection of
Seventh and Clay Street on 07/12/21. The driver was identified as Bambi Wyatt and subject showed signs of
impairment. Wyatt gave officers consent to search the vehicle where Methamphetamine and a controlled substance
was found.
Wyatt failed field sobriety test and officers requested subject complete chemical test reference
intoxication and Wyatt refused. Wyatt was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled
substance, and OWI refusal.
Wyatt was booked into the Dubois County Security Center and Sternberg’s assisted
on scene.
