USI Student Being Monitored For Coronavirus, University Cancels Overseas Programs

WFIE-TV IN EVANSVILLE CONTRIBUTED TO THIS REPORT

EVANSVILLE -- The University of Southern Indiana is the latest Hoosier university to pull the plug on some overseas programs due to the coronavirus.

USI says it is suspending all university-led programs to any country the CDC deems a level three risk for the virus.

WFIE-TV reports one student who had already traveled to South Korea has returned home to the U.S. and will remain in self-quarantine for 14 days off campus.

That student will be monitored by the Vanderburgh County Health Department.
