Two New COVID-Related Deaths Reported in Dubois County, Likely Stay at CODE RED

JASPER -- Dubois County officials reported 78 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend.

60 new cases were reported Saturday; 18 on Sunday. 

Two deaths were also reported over the weekend in the county.  It brings our death toll to 43.

Dubois County has a seven-day positivity rate of 27%; that’s nearly double the minimum 15% needed to be placed under a CODE RED designation.

 It’s very likely the CODE RED will be extended for another week based on that high positivity rate.

Nearly 16% of the ICU beds in District 10 are available, as of Sunday’s update.  35% of beds that are being used are occupied by COVID-19 patients.

70% of the district’s ventilators are free.

District 10 includes Dubois County and points west including Evansville.
