Traffic Stop Turns Up Over 17 Grams of Meth, Alleged Dealer Jailed on Three Felony Charges

ROCKPORT -- A traffic stop in Spencer County lands an Owensboro man in jail on meth charges.

Police stopped 35-year-old Benjamin Shepherd Wednesday on Eureka Road near Rockport.  During the stop, a police K9 alerted to the presence of drugs in the vehicle.

A search turned up over 17 grams of meth and a substantial amount of cash.

Shepherd is charged with three felonies: dealing and possessing meth and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.
