TELL CITY -- Possible contamination from chemicals in their properties is what people who live in Tell City are concerned about.

WFIE reports that the chemicals could be coming from the old General Electric factory nearby.

The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) said they have been doing studies in the area after that General Electric factory may have had high levels of trichloroethylene, or TCE. TCE is a chemical compound that causes symptoms such as headache, dizziness, and confusion.

IDEM says the chemical has not been detected in the city's water system.
