According to the publicly available Election Summary Report obtained by WITZ, 6,275 voters cast their ballot for Recorder. Of those, Guth won 59.25% of overall votes. With her victory, Guth secured her position as the Republican candidate in November’s general election.

The Huntingburg resident is a graduate of Southridge High School and earned her degree in Paralegal Studies from Vincennes University. From there, she earned her certificate from NACO’s High Performance Leadership Academy and earned her first certificate of Excellence with the Association of Indiana Counties.

The County Recorder maintains permanent public records, with a primary focus on property ownership and land transactions. This includes liens, mortgages, deeds, plats, surveys, and other legal documents, ensuring a secure chain of title. In Dubois County, the Recorder’s Office also maintains military discharge records to facilitate verification of veterans’ benefits. The Recorder verifies that documents meet legal requirements, indexes them for retrieval, and preserves them permanently for public access.

As part of her platform, Guth underlined the importance of property fraud protection. She helped to implement the Property Fraud Alert system for Dubois County. In her public comments, Guth emphasized, “It matters who your county recorder is because property fraud is real, and it can happen! For over seven years I have worked in this office, and I know the recording process, the policies, and where the vulnerabilities exist. I’ve played a key role in introducing this program to protect Dubois County property owners from fraud, recognizing that for many, their property is their biggest financial investment. I remain committed to help every property owner protect their land.”
